One of the fastest growing segments for home based business entrepreneurs is Network Marketing!

Now, I know what you are thinking. MLMs are scams, they are all pyramid schemes. I have heard so many negative stories about them. You will be pleasantly surprised to learn that the times have changed.

I have to admit, when I was first introduced to a Network Marketing program, red flags went up! I had heard that 95% of people involved in MLM's will fail, and almost walked away before I even started. My other online businesses bring in over $60,000 per month, so why do I want to waste my time.

Network Marketing the old school way has a 95% failure rate among start ups. There are still way too many people out there teaching old methods and contributing to the failure rate. They are basically leading people like you down the path of failure.

But then it hit me! There is NO reason you should fail and there has never been a better time in history to get involved.

There is a new breed of Network Marketers emerging and these are the people you want to join. You will hear the term Join My Team quite a bit. The Team you join can and will determine your success or failure. The new generation of Network Marketers are Internet savvy and are willing to teach its members how to use the power of the Internet to build a downline.

Why do most people fail at Network Marketing? Why are some people making thousands of dollars a week, while others are struggling after months of effort with a drained bank account. I started researching Network Marketing on the Internet and soon realized the answer was staring me in the face.

The first thing that I realized, was that too many people fall for the misleading get rich by doing nothing ads. I see these ads everywhere on the Internet, and thousands of people buy into these lies and fail miserably. They lead you to believe that making big money is effortless and requires very little work.

You must have a Marketing Plan! If you are like most people, you have never had a home based business. Many sign up for the latest greatest product on pure emotion and than ask... what now? If they joined the wrong team they are left to fend for themselves.

I realized after months of research that there is a common trait among successful Network Marketers. They are willing to teach people like you to get started and build your business in order to help others build their business. Too many people sign up, and jump in with very little guidance and are being taught old outdated techniques from the 1980's. This is the Internet age, and your success will be determined by your willingness to learn how to use it to make money.

Anyone can do this! Not necessarily true. If you are flat broke, lazy, or just don't have time, wait until you have a little money to invest, some time, and the motivation to do it. Make no mistake about it, someone that is willing to apply the learned skills, work hard, and has some money to invest in their home business, will be successful faster.

I also realized that many MLM's have huge downlines. Some with millions of people above you, fighting for the same prospects you are. No Thanks! I am only interested in New Companies with a huge upside for growth.

Don't fall for the "no selling necessary" BS you see out there. Network Marketing is about People. Beware of ads claiming they have a fully automated system that requires no work on your part. Think about it. If they truly had a system that good, why would they need you? Now keep in mind it is not really selling, because you will be interviewing prospects that called you for more information about your opportunity. But, you will have to learn how to use the phone effectively.

Choose the right Team by asking the right questions.

Before you decide to join a company you absolutely need to make sure the team you are joining is using the most modern techniques. There are still many old school coaches out there that have made great money, but will not be able to help you succeed.

Ask them straight out:

What will I be learning from you and your team? If they start talking about the 3 foot rule, having home meetings, harassing your friends and family to join, buying leads and cold calling them, you need to be careful. This is where the 95% failure rate comes in. Many of these people will tell you about their upline and how some are making $50,000 a month. They won't tell you about the thousands that are struggling or dropping out everyday. Now, if you think you are part of that 5%, go for it!

What you want to hear is that, they provide you with the tools to create your own website, how to design capture pages to attract leads to you, how to market online to get traffic to your pages. You will hear terms like AdWords, AutoResponders, Attraction Marketing, Social Marketing, Article Marketing, and proper telephone skills. These are a few of the new techniques that thousands of people are using and becoming very successful.

A good team leader will be interviewing you to see if you are the right person for their team. They will not be trying to shove their product down your throat. Good Team Leaders don't need you, and will never sound needy on the phone. These are the types of Teams you want to be a part of.
